Dr. Wallace Carrillo-Medina earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine in 2009. He then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency with Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, where he received extensive clinical training in comprehensive dental care.
Dr. Wallace later earned a Master of Science in Orofacial Pain and Oral Medicine from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California. During his graduate training, he published research titled “Systematic Review with Meta-Analyses of Natural Products in the Treatment of Recurrent Aphthous Stomatitis.”
He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Dr. Wallace enjoys building meaningful relationships with his patients and helping them feel comfortable and confident about their oral health. Fluent in both English and Spanish, he takes pride in providing compassionate care to a diverse community.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Wallace enjoys teaching at his church, reading, playing chess, writing songs, and spending time with his wife and two children. He is excited to be back at Relax Dental and looks forward to caring for you and your family!

Dr. Matt Kostelic is a relationship-driven dentist committed to delivering exceptional care through integrity, compassion, and a patient-first philosophy. He believes dentistry should never feel rushed or corporate—and has dedicated his career to building practices where patients feel genuinely seen, heard, and cared for.
A graduate of NC State University and the East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine, Dr. Matt combines clinical excellence with a warm, approachable style. He partners closely with his teams to create modern, comfortable environments that prioritize trust, communication, and long-term oral health.
Beyond dentistry, Dr. Matt is a family-focused husband and dad who enjoys cooking, traveling, golfing, and reading. He lives with his wife, Emily, their son, Oliver, and their goldendoodle, Luna—who occasionally makes office cameos as the unofficial therapy dog. He’s also a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan, known to wear black and gold on game days.

Heather works at Relax Dental as our patient care coordinator. She has 7 years of dental experience and comes to us with clinical and administrative skills. She graduated from Guilford Technical Community College in 2018 with a degree in Dental Assisting. Her favorite part of working at Relax Dental is the personal relationships she makes with each patient. All our patients are like family to her. She is the mother of two girls and a baby boy. In her spare time see enjoys spending time with her family, singing and playing softball.
